This Viognier exhibits bold characteristics of a Rhone varietal caressed by Central California sunshine. It is intensely perfumed, wonderfully fruity with a great roundness on the palate that comes from cold maceration, neutral French Oak barrel fermentation and sur lees aging. This is a full-bodied wine. Top notes of stone fruit are balanced wonderfully with hints of citrus accented by light caramel tones. Casa Dumetz calls this the white wine for red wine drinkers. Goes wonderfully with or without food (though you should probably eat something when drinking) and offers something new to savor in each sip.
